On Tuesday, Chelle released the 23-man squad for the qualifiers and omitted Kelechi Ihanacho.
What Eguavoen said
Eguavoen believes it would be unfair to leave Iheanacho out of the final squad, especially after he was included in the initial 39-man provisional list.

“It’s not fair on Kelechi Iheanacho if Eric Chelle makes a 39-man list and he isn’t involved. If it’s a 23 or 25-man list, that’s fine,” Eguavoen stated via Brila.
The Super Eagles will face Rwanda on March 21 and Zimbabwe on March 25, with the matches in Kigali and Uyo, respectively.
