Al Hilal’s bid to sign Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has been rejected by his parent club Napoli
Napoli have turned down Al Hilal’s opening offer for Victor Osimhen, signalling that they won’t part ways with the Nigerian striker for anything less than his full €75 million release clause.
With the Saudi club expected to return with an improved bid and the summer window yet to fully kick off, the transfer saga is far from over.
Napoli hold firm as Al Hilal’s €70m package falls short
According to Sky Italia, Napoli made their stance crystal clear. If Al Hilal want Victor Osimhen, they’ll have to pay every last euro of his €75 million release clause.
The Saudi club had submitted an opening bid worth €65 million plus €5 million in add-ons, totalling €70 million, but that simply wasn’t enough to get Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Napoli board to blink.
With Osimhen fresh off a record-breaking loan spell at Galatasaray, where he netted 37 goals in 41 appearances, Napoli know they’re holding one of Europe’s hottest striking properties.
