Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, welcomed the iconic Premier League trophy to the State House in Marina, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to leveraging sports as a powerful tool for youth empowerment and social development.
The trophy was presented by Mr. Girish Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria Plc, as part of the company’s initiative to bring Nigerian football fans closer to the excitement of the English Premier League.
In a statement, Sanwo-Olu praised the symbolic value of the Premier League trophy, describing it as a beacon of inspiration for the state’s youth population.
