‘Stop flirting and get her boyfriend to play for us’

Maya Jama and Ruben Dias are rumoured to be dating.

Gary Lineker has fueled further rumours about Maya Jama’s reported romance with Manchester City defender Ruben Dias. 

While Jama, 30, has yet to confirm the relationship, speculation has been rife since she was spotted ringing in the New Year with the Portuguese centre-back.

Now, thanks to Lineker’s playful jab, the rumours appear to have some truth in them.

 The former England striker seemingly let the cat out of the bag while making an appearance on the Ballers League social media, where Jama had been discussing her managerial role in the newly launched competition.

Jama, who is leading a team alongside Swiss football star Alisha Lehmann, jokingly called famous CBS pundit Micah Richards her “opponent” and poked fun at his age.

 The banter quickly escalated when Lineker unexpectedly entered the conversation.

The exchange started lightheartedly, with Richards protesting that Jama had unfairly aged him.

“You disrespected me, didn’t you? You said I look 40 years old,” Richards complained, adding: “I’m only 36! You do me wrong, man. How old are you?”

Jama, the quick-witted presenter, replied: “I’m 30 actually, on the dot. Just 3, 0, new, fresh 30. I just got there.”

But just as the Love Island host finished her response, Lineker seized the moment to throw a curveball that left her visibly flustered.

“Micah, stop flirting and get her boyfriend to play for us,” he quipped, sparking a wave of laughter.

Jama, caught off guard, reacted instantly, clearly not expecting her private life to be dragged into the mix.

“Get out! This is why I don’t talk to old people. They’re so weird,” she fired back, trying to brush off the comment.

While neither Jama nor Dias has publicly addressed the romance, Lineker’s comment only adds to the growing speculation surrounding the pair.

Ruben Dias has reportedly taken a huge step in his rumoured relationship with the beautiful Love Island host.

Matching bracelets and Portuguese lessons

The whispers of Jama’s relationship with Dias first gained traction when they were spotted celebrating New Year’s Eve together in Ibiza. 

Since then, eagle-eyed fans have picked up on several clues hinting at their growing bond.

Last month, the Bristol-born star revealed she was taking Portuguese lessons, a move many believe is a nod to her connection with Dias.

 And if that wasn’t enough, the Love Island host and the Man City defender were both seen wearing identical £5,050 Cartier ‘LOVE’ bracelets in February.

Jama first showed off the jewellery in an Instagram post, before Dias was spotted wearing the same piece during training ahead of City’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

The two reportedly first met at the European Music Awards, where Dias was said to have been captivated by her beauty.

Now, after months of speculation, Lineker’s remark might just be the biggest hint yet that the two are indeed an item.

 She has just been announced as one of the managers in the newly launched Ballers League, a six-a-side competition that promises to bring a fresh spin to the football world.

Jama, alongside Juventus forward Alisha Lehmann—dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest footballer’, will form the first-ever all-female management duo in the competition.

Meanwhile, YouTube sensation KSI will serve as president, with Lineker, Richards, and Alan Shearer also set to manage teams in the league, which will feature 12 competing sides.
