Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has hailed his side after their 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham.
The Eagles’ victory at Craven Cottage has set them up for a semi-final showdown at Wembley, putting them on course to reach their first domestic final since their FA Cup final appearance in 2016.
That 2016 final ended in heartbreak for Palace, who lost to Manchester United. However, this Palace team look determined to make history.
Glasner praised the resilience and togetherness of his team, staff, and supporters, citing these qualities as key to their success. “I’m very happy today,” he told Palace TV.
“It was just one [piece of the] puzzle of this group and of this club, together with the fans.”
The Eagles faced a tough test at Craven Cottage, struggling to find their rhythm in the early stages. However, they stayed united and composed, eventually taking advantage of their opportunities to seal a convincing win.
Glasner highlighted the importance of the connection between the team and their fans.
“With our fans, we have a great connection. It’s so important we always keep believing – we know that we will get our situations, we will get our moments, and this helps a lot.”
